“Endings are with their beginnings” – this is one of my favourite quotes attributed to the great Sidi Ali al-Jamal of Fez and I like to start things of with it. It’s meaning is truly vast what little I can make of it would be around the fact that how you start something is how you’re going to end it. So a good start  i.e. pure intention, patience, hard work will lead to a good ending i.e. success with acceptance from Allah ta’ala, and accomplishment of whatever goodly action you were pursuing.

In a wider context it could mean whenever something comes to an end, something else will necessarily start, as the final end will only be with the Day of Judgement.
